The person concerned is qualified for treatment benefits and will be entitled to a contribution towards the cost of a hearing aid. An on-line eligibility check was recently undertaken by his Audiologist and eligibility for medical appliance benefit has been confirmed.  The Audiologist can claim the payment directly on-line once the hearing aids have been provided.

I hope this clarifies the matter for the Deputy.
