Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade if he will report on the confiscation of the passport of a person (details supplied) by the German authorities while under the care of their legal guardian; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Department of Foreign Affairs is not aware of the case referred to by the Deputy. Irish citizens in Germany requiring consular assistance are encouraged to make contact with the Embassy of Ireland in Berlin, which will be able to provide the appropriate guidance and support.
