I propose to take Questions Nos. 304 and 306 together.

I have requested a report from An Garda Síochána in relation to the statistics sought by the Deputy. I will contact the Deputy directly on receipt of this information.

The following deferred reply was received under Standing Order 42A
I refer to Parliamentary Questions Nos. 304 and 306 of 2 July 2019 in which the Deputy asked for information pertaining to the number of persons arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs in Limerick city, in each of the years between 2014 and 2018.
An Garda Síochána have provided the following breakdown of the number of persons arrested for driving while intoxicated, in the South Eastern Region, by Division. I am informed, however, that incidents for driving while intoxicated are not disaggregated into separate alcohol and drug offences. Therefore, the information refers to all arrests regardless of the intoxicant.
