Questions (194)

Michael McGrath

Question:

194. Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Finance the number of financial services firms by category, such as insurance, credit card, mortgage providers and SME lenders selling business in the market here to end consumers, who are prudentially regulated in the UK and rely on the freedom of movement of services across the EU to sell here; the relevant quantum of financial activity involved for each category using the latest estimates; if there are risks for consumers here in the event of a hard Brexit in this context; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
