View answerThe manpower requirement of the Defence Forces is monitored on an on-going basis in accordance with operational requirements. Promotions are ongoing within the officer ranks. Discussions have recently concluded with PDFORRA regarding the arrangements for a NCO promotion competition, which will commence soon.
The table below outlines the promotional posts vacant within the Permanent Defence Force as of 30 June 2019, the latest date for which such figures are available.
