Deputy Pearse Doherty asked the Minister for Health the reason tenders submitted by companies which use a specific building management solutions system (details supplied) will only be considered eligible in respect to a recent competitive procurement process initiated by the HSE; if his attention has been drawn to the implications such a restrictive requirement is having on the ability of local firms which operate alternative building management systems to successfully tender for such contracts; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
