Deputy John Curran asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport his plans to review the situation in which there is only one intersection entrance and access to Rathcoole village from the N7 and the resultant traffic congestion; if the possibility of a second N7 intersection junction to improve this situation will be considered; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerAs Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport, I have responsibility for overall policy and funding in relation to the national roads programme. Under the Roads Acts 1993-2015, the planning, design and construction of individual national roads is a matter for Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII), in conjunction with the local authorities concerned.
