2960. Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the contract between Irish Water and a company (details supplied) expired on 22 July 2018; if he has been consulted on the optional extension of that contract that is at its mid-point; if he has been consulted in respect of a request for tenders in respect of services supplied by the company; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Since 1 January 2014, Irish Water has statutory responsibility for all aspects of water services planning, delivery and operation at national, regional and local levels.
