387. Deputy Kathleen Funchion asked the Minister for Education and Skills the number of students at primary and post-primary level, respectively, enrolled for the school year 2019-2020. [31691/19]

The statistics of enrolments in primary and post-primary schools in 2019/20 are not available at this time. Preliminary statistics for the 2019/2020 academic year will be available in December.

The most recent statistics are those from the 2018/19 academic year. In 2018/2019 there were 567,772 pupils at primary level, and 362,899 pupils at post-primary level.
