The school to which the Deputy refers applied for Emergency Works application for funding to carry out external works. As the scope of the works were outside the terms of the scheme, the application was refused. The mechanism for applying for funding for works of this nature is my Department’s Summer Works Scheme.

However, as per the Emergency Works Circular 0018/2011, the school authority is free to submit an appeal to my Department which will be considered only where additional relevant information is provided.
