971. Deputy Shane Cassells asked the Minister for Justice and Equality the expenditure by his Department on social media advertising and promotional material within the past year in tabular form. [34617/19]
View answerMy Department engages in advertising on social media, where appropriate, in order to draw attention to important issues in the Justice and Equality sector. The use of social media allows the Department to reach audiences that might not be as likely to see or hear traditional forms of marketing such as newspapers, television, radio etc.
An itemised breakdown of expenditure relating to social media covering the last year is set out in the following table.
