Deputy Catherine Murphy asked the Minister for Finance the costs incurred regarding the special liquidation of IBRC from 2013 to date; the amounts incurred that were as a result of the engagement of external legal and or financial consultancy; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe total professional fees associated with the Special Liquidation from 7th February 2013 to 31st December 2018 are €258.054 million (gross).
The fees and all other costs associated with the Special Liquidation are outlined in detail in the latest IBRC Progress update report to 31 December 2018 (“the Report”) issued by the Special Liquidators on 22 May 2019. Details of the various legal, financial consultancy and other professional firms who were in receipt of fees is contained in the costs and fees section of the Report.
