86. Deputy Catherine Connolly asked the Taoiseach and Minister for Defence if a new recruitment campaign for the Defence Forces will start before the end of 2019; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [37367/19]
View answerGeneral Service recruitment to the Permanent Defence Force is now open for applications all year round following the campaign launch in March 2019. In July 2019, a further awareness exercise was conducted in the media and it is intended that awareness/recruitment stands will be in place at upcoming high profile national events such as the Ploughing Championship and the Irish Times Higher Options expo in the RDS.
