445. Deputy Jonathan O'Brien asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if funding will be provided to the NTA for an oversight delivery office in Cork for the delivery of the Cork Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy 2040; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [38403/19]
View answerI am not aware of any proposal by the National Transport Authority (NTA) to establish an oversight delivery office in Cork for the delivery of the Cork Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy 2040 and any such proposal would be a matter in the first instance for the NTA. I am aware that the NTA, in conjunction with Cork City Council, Cork County Council and Transport Infrastructue Ireland, has continued to work on the development of the Strategy, which I understand is in the process of finalisation.
