57. Deputy Martin Heydon asked the Taoiseach and Minister for Defence the status of the feasibility study on the proposed peace and leadership institute for the Curragh; when it will be published; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [39179/19]
View answerThe White Paper on Defence includes a commitment to evaluate the potential development of a new Institute for Peace Support and Leadership Training at the Defence Forces Training Centre in the Curragh and in this regard a formal feasibility study was undertaken. An interim report was presented to the project steering group in November 2018, and a final report is expected to be finalised in Q4 2019, which will inform the next steps to be taken.
