Deputy Louise O'Reilly asked the Minister for Health the number of spinal monitoring surgeries that have been cancelled and rescheduled in Children’s Health Ireland hospitals during 2018 and to date in 2019 due to a lack of access to a spinal monitoring team; and his views on the current spinal monitoring arrangement in Children’s Health Ireland hospitals in view of Brexit and the fact the spinal monitoring team is based in Belfast and is only on contract to the HSE.
