View answerApplications for the Beef Exceptional Aid Measure scheme (BEAM) were accepted through the www.agfood.ie online portal from the 19th of August 2019. The original closing date of the 8th of September was initially extended to the 15th of September when my Department hosted 16 online clinics across the country to facilitate applications. The closing date was further extended to the 20th of September in order that applications could be facilitated at my Department's stand at the National Ploughing Championships in Co. Carlow.
Both extensions were publicised on my Department's website, through social media channels and nationally in the farming press. 34,517 eligible applications were successfully submitted by the close. There is no provision for accepting any late applications at this stage.
