485. Deputy Michael Healy-Rae asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the status of a farm payment for a person (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [43568/19]

An application for participation in Year 2 of the Sheep Welfare Scheme was received from the person named on the 23 January 2018.  In accordance with the scheme terms and conditions, the named individual was selected for an inspection and a penalty was applied following the outcome of the inspection.

An appeal on the findings of the inspection was received from the person named on the 22 August 2019.  This appeal has recently been finalised and a letter to the person named will issue in the coming days.
