The Deputy is aware that the delivery of a new building for the school to which he refers has been devolved to Kildare and Wicklow Education & Training Board (KWETB). He will also be aware that KWETB and its design team for the project, which was appointed in June, will now take the project through the various stages of architectural planning and onwards through the statutory planning requirements and construction.

The Stage 1 (prelimary design) process is underway since the design team was appointed and has not yet concluded. As the Stage 2A (detailed design) process must also be completed before a planning application for the project can be lodged, it is too early in the architectural design process to be in a position to provide the Deputy with a definitive date for when this might happen.
