My Department had a serving headcount of 818 staff at the end of September 2019, of which just one person was recruited on a part-time basis. The headcount of 818 equates to a Full-Time Equivalent of 785.44. Staff recruited on a full-time basis can subsequently apply for alternative, non full-time working patterns under the Civil Service's family friendly working practices. At the end of September 2019 there were 101 full-time staff on reduced working patterns in my Department.

Payment of salaries to staff in my Department is made in line with pay scales approved by the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform. There is no one in my Department on a salary at or below the minimum wage of €9.80 per hour.
