Durkan asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the status of plans to construct two right turning lanes for both Croghan and Cootehall on the N4 Boyle to Carrick-on-Shannon route, County Roscommon further to the commitment by Transport Infrastructure Ireland to carry out such a project; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerAs Minister for Transport, Tourism & Sport, I have responsibility for overall policy and funding in relation to the national roads programme. Under the Roads Acts 1993-2015, the planning, design and construction of works on individual national roads is a matter for Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) in conjunction with the local authorities concerned.
