Deputy Brendan Howlin asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the number of expressions of interest received from contractors for the construction of the State data centre, Backweston, Celbridge, County Kildare, by the closing date of 11 October 2019; if tenders have now been invited; if so, the closing date for receipt of same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Thirteen expressions of interest were received from Contractors for the prequalification to tender for the State Data Centre, Backweston, Celbridge, Co. Kildare. The submissions are currently being assessed by the Office of Public Works. The Commissioners are not in a position to advise on a tender date as yet.
