Deputy Fiona O'Loughlin asked the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government the political advisers used by Ministers and Ministers of State in his Department since the commencement of this Government; the commencement and cessation dates in each case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Two special advisers are currently used by my Department.  There has been one change of adviser during my time as Minister and details are set out in the following table.  These advisers work across a wide range of areas within the remit of my Department including Housing, Planning, Local Government, Water Services and Electoral Reform as well as liaising with the media and other Government Departments and advisers. 

No advisers have been appointed by the Ministers of State in my Department.
