Deputy Tony McLoughlin asked the Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment his plans to support local community groups to protect natural sand dunes in areas such as Strandhill, County Sligo; the funding available to support same; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have no function in relation to this matter. I understand that responsibility for issues arising at specific locations falls across a number of public bodies, including the National Parks & Wildlife Service and the relevant Local Authority.
