Deputy Michael McGrath asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport the number of times he has met with insurance companies and Insurance Ireland since 1 January 2016; the date of each meeting; the persons or bodies he met with; the purpose of each meeting in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Since becoming Minister I have had two meetings involving Insurance Ireland.

On 16th November 2016 I met with Insurance Ireland and the Motor Insurers Bureau of Ireland (MIBI) for a general discussion on motor insurance.

On 28th March 2019 I met with Insurance Ireland and the MIBI to discuss Brexit Contingency Planning (Green Cards).

I have had no meetings with individual Insurance Companies.
