- In January the Department will launch of the 2020 Healthy Ireland campaign, which is an initiative aimed at improving the health and well-being of everyone living in Ireland. The goal of the 2020 campaign will be to continue to raise awareness of Healthy Ireland as the trusted source of health information in Ireland. The campaign will continue to roll out the animated advertising produced in 2019 which features a character Joe who wants to make a change to his health but doesn't know where to go, he is helped by his friend Flo who introduces him to Healthy Ireland. The campaign will run across all major Irish TV stations, as well as appearing on online video players and on demand. It will feature on outdoor advertising, cinema and will be supported by digital and social advertising. Estimated costs for this campaign will be €200,000.
