Deputy Anne Rabbitte asked the Minister for Education and Skills the availability of grants for schools to purchase a bus for use for sporting events and other outings; if a primary and secondary school in the same locality can make a joint application for such a grant; and if he will make a statement on the matter. In relation to your query regarding the availability of grants for schools to purchase buses for use at sporting events and other outings, there is no provision in our School Transport Schemes to provide for this type of arrangement.
