Deputy Anne Rabbitte asked the Minister for Children and Youth Affairs the circumstances under which it will remain appropriate to defer birth parents' access to children in foster and residential care, especially in view of the planned relaxation of Covid-19 restrictions for the general public. The Deputy is referring to an operational matter for Tusla, the Child and Family Agency. I have therefore referred the matter to Tusla, and asked that a direct response be provided to the Deputy.
