Deputy Matt Carthy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he has commissioned an analysis of the impact of Covid-19 on sheep wool markets, the financial impact this will have on the farmers affected and the domestic economy; his plans to provide financial supports to those affected; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy will be aware, my Department is monitoring the economic impact of the Covid19 pandemic on all aspects of the agriculture sector. To date, no specific analysis has been carried out on its impact on the wool sector.
