639. Deputy Matt Carthy asked the Minister for Health the number of employers that were provided with the Covid-19 test results of their employees; the number of workers involved in each instance; his views on whether this breaches patient confidentiality; if he will issue an instruction that such procedures cease; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I have sought a specific report from the HSE in relation to this matter. This will set out the circumstances under which results were not communicated to individual workers in affected meat plants and in long term residential care facilities, and the actions that are being taken to ensure that communication of the results of individual COVID-19 tests is directly to the individual.
