686. Deputy Matt Carthy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of reported tuberculosis cases in each year since 2010; the amount spent on eradication programmes in each year in tabular form; the portion of this funding which came from the EU annually; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The following table shows the number of reactors and the number of new herd restrictions per year since 2010. Also shown is the amount of actual voted expenditure incurred by my Department over the same period of time, this expenditure does not include staff costs which are estimated annually at circa €25m. These figures do not include farmer contribution towards the cost of the scheme which is estimated at circa €32m annually.
