Deputy Anne Rabbitte asked the Minister for Justice and Equality if he has received a report from the Garda Commissioner on a case (details supplied); the reason for such a long delay in releasing the report; when he expects to release the report; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Deputy will appreciate that I cannot address the detail of any individual case.

I can however confirm that my Department has received an update from An Garda Síochána in relation to this matter and that I will write to the Deputy on this matter shortly.
