Deputy Pádraig O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport if consideration will be given to extending the bus service in Grenagh, County Cork in view of the fact the service is perceived as inadequate (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerAs Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport in Ireland. I am not involved in the day-to-day operations of public transport.
The issue raised is a matter for the National Transport Authority (NTA) and I have forwarded the Deputy's question to the NTA for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a response within ten working days.
