Bord na gCon (BnG) is a commercial state body, established under the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 chiefly to control greyhound racing and to improve and develop the greyhound industry. BnG is a body corporate and a separate legal entity to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

It is my understanding that Clonmel greyhound stadium is owned by BnG but under formal lease to Davis Road Greyhound Stadium PLC. The operational management of the track is therefore entirely within the remit of the lessee and the issue with regards to mediation, is a matter between BnG and the lessee.
