Deputy Matt Carthy asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Business, Enterprise and Innovation the amount by which the grant requested by the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission increased; if correspondence, reports, briefings or materials relating to the reason such requests were granted or not for the period 2015 to 2020 will be provided. The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission receives Exchequer funding and Levy funding. The combined amounts requested by the CCPC and allocated from 2015 to 2020 are set out in the attached table.

It is not possible to provide the various reports, briefings or material relating to such requests in response to a Parliamentary Question. My officials will contact the Deputy's office to explore what information he is looking for with a view to furnishing same if possible. Of course, a request for all records pertaining to grant increase requests from the CCPC could be submitted by the Deputy to my Department as an FOI request.
