170. Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Education when planning permission will be submitted for the new Dún Laoghaire Educate Together; the timeline she envisages for this school to be ready; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [23005/20]
View answerThe school building project for the school in question is being delivered under my Department's Design and Build programme. A pre-planning meeting was held with Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council earlier in the year and this is informing the design for the project. Lodgement of the Planning Application will be the next key milestone in the progression of the project. The Department's Project Manager for Design and Build programme is working towards submission of the planning application as soon as possible. Until such time as planning permission has been secured, it will not be possible to provide a timeline for progression of the project to tender and construction stages.
