Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if his Department has received a complaint regarding an unannounced inspection on a farm (details supplied) in which the farmer claims that health guidelines and protocols were not followed and there was a breach of GDPR; the process that will be followed to investigate this complaint; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has received a complaint from the person named and this complaint will be dealt with in accordance with my Department’s documented customer complaints procedures.

A detailed response, in writing will issue to the farmer following an examination of the circumstances, including the conduct of the inspection.
