View answerThe person concerned is the subject of a transfer decision to the United Kingdom by the International Protection Office (IPO) of my Department, under the EU Dublin III Regulation, which determines the State responsible for examining a protection application. The transfer decision was subsequently affirmed on appeal to the International Protection Appeals Tribunal.
I understand that the matter is now the subject of judicial review proceedings and it would not be appropriate for me to make any further comment at this time.
The person concerned remains legally obliged to comply with any reporting requirements placed on them by the Garda National Immigration Bureau, until this process has been concluded.
