76. Deputy Niamh Smyth asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the total funding which has been made available to businesses in counties Cavan and Monaghan through the restart grant and the restart grant plus; and the number of businesses supported in the counties. The Restart Grant and Restart Grant Plus schemes were administered by the 31 Local Authorities on behalf of my Department. The Schemes are now closed and are superseded by other budgetary measures including the Covid Restrictions Support Scheme (CRSS) operated through Revenue.

As of 13 November 2020, Cavan County Council has approved and paid 741 applications to the value of €2,349,233 under the Restart Grant Scheme. Monaghan County Council has approved and paid 822 applications to the value of €2,748, 846.

Under the Restart Grant Plus scheme and as at 13 November 2020, Cavan County Council has approved and paid 948 applications to the value of €4,754,982. Monaghan County Council has approved and paid 1060 applications to the value of €5,081,981.
