Deputy Cormac Devlin asked the Minister for Transport if he will write to the NTA suggesting it investigates the feasibility of upgrading Dublin Bus shelters with sedum-covered roofs to capture particulates, store rainwater and promote urban biodiversity given the climate and biodiversity crisis; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerAs Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport.
The National Transport Authority (NTA) has statutory responsibility for the planning and development of public transport infrastructure, including the provision of bus stops/shelters.
