Deputy Brendan Howlin asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the orthopaedic outpatient waiting list at University Hospital Waterford is now 24 months; if he is satisfied that it is acceptable that patients in pain in the south east region, certified as urgent, are required to wait two years to see an orthopaedic consultant; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
