The person concerned has been assessed as having a moderate restriction on his capacity for work and as such will qualify for Partial Capacity Benefit at 50% of his current rate of Invalidity Pension.

In order to award his Partial Capacity Benefit claim, his Invalidity Pension claim must be closed. The Partial Capacity Benefit section have requested the urgent closing of his Invalidity Pension claim, and once this is completed his Partial Capacity Benefit claim will be opened and payment will be backdated to the return to work date of 14/09/2020.

A letter to the customer informing him of the decision and outlining the rate of payment will issue to him within the next seven working days.

I hope this clarifies the position for the Deputy.
