Deputy Catherine Connolly asked the Minister for Health the status of the implementation of the recommendations of the October 2019 report of the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, HPSC, Lyme Borreliosis Subcommittee; the action his Department has taken in the meantime to improve testing, diagnosis, treatment and management of Lyme disease on foot of the report; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Lyme Borelliosis Sub-Committee is within the remit of the Health Protection Surveillance Centre of the HSE, I have asked the HSE to reply directly to the Deputy on this matter.
