290. Deputy Michael McNamara asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media if she will consider lifting the restrictions for bowling centres; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [44924/20]

It is a matter for the Government to decide on the imposition or lifting of restrictions necessary to respond to prevailing pandemic circumstances.

The gravity of the current epidemiological situation does not permit Government consideration at this time of the proposal outlined by the Deputy. The Government's clear message is for people to stay in their homes, unless necessary for those essential reasons set out in the public health regulations.
