Deputy Catherine Connolly asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications the amount of EU and national funding in total received to date by the SEAI relating to all projects connected to the offshore electricity generating station (details supplied) in County Mayo since the test site was granted a foreshore lease in 2015, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. SEAI receives up to 50% of the costs of the AFLOWT project from Interreg North-West Europe (European Regional Development Fund); this is the only EU co-funded project connected to AMETS that is funded through the SEAI. The AFLOWT project started in January 2019 and the table below shows the EU and exchequer co-funding to date.
