Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Health if persons from the Republic of Ireland currently staying in Northern Ireland and unable to return home due to Covid-19 travel restrictions can have their GMS prescription costs in Northern Ireland reimbursed by the HSE; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the reimbursement of health expenses whilst on a temporary stay abroad is an operational matter, this PQ has been referred to the HSE for direct reply.

Separately, in light of the Pandemic individuals seeking to access health services should consult the relevant public health guidance and restrictions in place in the relevant jurisdictions.
