Deputy Paul Kehoe asked the Minister for Education the status of a building project for a school (details supplied); when it will receive final sanction; if this project be able to progress under Covid-19 when final sanction is received; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe project at the school to which the Deputy refers is at an advanced stage of the tender process with a preferred bidder identified.
Some information is still awaited from the identified bidder, and upon receipt of same the tender process can be finalised. Subject to no issues arising, construction should commence in Quarter 1 of 2021 with a construction period of approximately 6 months.
