1109. Deputy Michael Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine when a decision will be made on a forestry application by a person (details supplied) in County Mayo in view of the urgency of the situation. [10420/21]
View answerAn application for an afforestation licence was received on behalf of the person named in July, 2020. The application site is near 11 designated sites, including the Twelve Bens and Clew Bay SACs. The impact of any afforestation operations on the sites and surrounding area was carefully considered before deciding on the licence application.
The application has now been approved and the decision issued to the applicant and their Registered Forester.
