261. Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine when a 2020 area of natural constraint overclaim refund payment will issue to a farmer (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13593/21]
View answerThe person named applied under the 2020 Areas of Natural Constraints (ANC) scheme on 6th May 2020. Based on the information available to the Department at the time of application, it was determined that the person named had made an overclaim. This penalty was applied to the payment which issued from my Department on 15th January 2021.
Following a review of the overclaim based on additional information provided by the person named, this penalty has now been removed and the money has been refunded by my Department.
