263. Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine when a 2020 area of natural constraint payment will issue to a farmer (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13595/21]
View answerAn application to participate in the 2020 Areas of Natural Constraints (ANC) scheme was submitted by the person named on 30th April 2020.
Under the terms and conditions of the scheme, participants are required to meet minimum requirements concerning stocking density and retention. Additional documentation in the form of a flock register and equine passports were requested by my Department from the person named to confirm that they had met these requirements. These documents have been provided to my Department, following which my Department has been able to confirm that the person named has met the minimum requirements.
I am pleased to confirm that payment for the 2020 ANC scheme has now issued to the person named.
